This beautiful picture shows the striking vermilion three-storied pagoda which is part of the Buddhist temple Seiganto-ji.
It’s breathtakingly set against the Nachi Falls in Wakayama Prefecture. The top floor has a viewing deck facing the waterfall.
I visited it during a hike on the Kumano Kodo, an impressive network of ancient pilgrimage trails through the mountains and forests of Kii Peninsula in Japan.
